Artist
Having been taught in the traditional method of drawing and painting at Edinburgh College of Art under Sir Robin Philipson, Marjory stepped away from the freedom to express her art, to working for many years in commercial design, illustration, digital media and education.
Her current work is rooted in her fascination with the sacredness of conscious manifestation. It draws attention to our interconnection and coexistence with all living matter. She believes in the spiritual power of love, nature, light, sound and the resonance of frequency exchange of the seen and unseen without separation, there is one note sung. The parallel and symbiotic relationship between, all that is; thought, animate, inanimate, the environment, souls and the interdependence of the tree to sustain all life on earth, has been a key influence on her work. She is fascinated by evanescent human behaviour, truth, the ephemerality of living in the now and the power of moving forward beyond the reflection of history. Continued emergence of creativity with freedom of expression towards collective understanding that births innovative ideas for spiritual divinity and egalitarianism, are fundamental to her aims.
Her work evokes the sense of the intertwined, enabling the viewer to freely engage, explore and creatively connect with life, to remind us of the potential for conscious existence in all matter, here, now, and beyond time as we currently know it.
